“OpenAI” Why it stopped training its most advanced AI models again: an agent found a gap in the safety restrictions, accessed the Internet, and communicated with another external chatbot. The monitoring system detected the behavior in about 12 minutes. A human started reviewing it 3 minutes later. The agent kept running and training was only manually halted about 2 and a half hours afterward. The model was carrying out a research task within an environment that, in theory, should not have access to the Internet. However, it found a gap in DNS filtering and used it to communicate with an external chatbot. OpenAI decided to pause training, evaluation, and inference with the tools of its most capable models until new security measures were validated. In July, during internal cybersecurity evaluations, other OpenAI models managed to bypass controls, obtain Internet access, and compromise parts of OpenAI and Hugging Face’s research infrastructure. The company itself described that episode as a “warning shot” for the industry.

“ZCash” Because while $ZEC corrects from highs, institutional investors are accumulating exposure to one of the most controversial assets in the crypto market: privacy. Zcash reached the US$1.693 zone before pulling back to US$1.580. 21Shares has just launched a Zcash ETP on Euronext Paris and Amsterdam, making it easier for traditional investors to access $ZEC. Meanwhile, Grayscale’s Zcash ETF had accumulated more than 640,000 ZEC and nearly US$1 billion in assets, according to recent data. Cypherpunk Technologies had accumulated more than 323,000 ZEC, close to 2% of the circulating supply, and it also launched a mining operation that reached approximately 18% of the network’s hashrate. {future}(ZECUSDT)

"Microsoft: Why is it going up?" Because Microsoft’s shares are up more than 3% today, returning to and surpassing the US$500 level, getting closer to its ATH. What’s the reason? Wall Street is once again putting the spotlight on one of the company’s most important assets: artificial intelligence. Microsoft is receiving analyst optimism driven by the growth of Azure, the monetization of Copilot, and increased adoption of its AI tools by businesses. In its latest quarter, Microsoft generated nearly US$90 billion in revenue (+18%), while Azure grew 43%. In addition, Microsoft 365 Copilot has already surpassed 30 million paid users. Microsoft ended the quarter with approximately US$678 billion in contracted cloud revenue not yet recognized. Is Microsoft undervalued compared to other AI giants?

Michael Dell has once again become the 4th richest person in the world, overtaking Mark Zuckerberg and Sergey Brin. In just one day, his wealth grew by more than US$11,000 million after Dell Technologies shares rose by nearly 6%. The reason? Demand for infrastructure for artificial intelligence. “Artificial Intelligence” Because the giants of artificial intelligence are facing a lawsuit that claims they agreed to promote the slowdown in AI development. Anthropic, OpenAI, SpaceXAI, and Google were sued in the U.S. on the argument that coordinating a slowdown in AI development could violate antitrust laws. Dario Amodei, CEO of Anthropic, proposed slowing development in order to introduce stronger safety controls. Sam Altman, Elon Musk, and Demis Hassabis publicly expressed agreement with the need to moderate the pace and reinforce safeguards. The lawsuit argues that if the main competitors coordinate the slowdown, there could be a potential antitrust issue. Competition was precisely what drove multi-billion-dollar investments in chips, data centers, energy, and increasingly powerful models. Now some of the companies leading that race say that speed can also become a risk.

“Crypto rally” Why $BTC surpasses USD 84,000 and altcoins accelerate the upswing. BTC is up nearly 5%, but XRP +7.9%, SOL +7%, and ETH +5.5%: money starts spreading across the entire crypto market. Is a new bullish phase starting? BTC is around US$84,000–85,000, levels it hasn’t reached since January, while the main altcoins are joining the move. The rally is being amplified by a strong short squeeze. Only when Bitcoin crossed US$84,000 did about US$262 million in short positions get liquidated in an hour. When those betting on a decline have to buy back, they can accelerate the rally even more. In addition, the broader backdrop is helping: falling oil is improving risk appetite, while technology stocks and Wall Street futures are also moving higher. Ñ The signal to watch is whether capital continues rotating into ETH, SOL, XRP, and the rest of the altcoins. If that happens, the rally could shift from being a move led by Bitcoin to a much broader one. {future}(BTCUSDT)

$AMD Why do the shares of $AMD surge and print a new ATH? The reason? It could lift the price of several of its chips by ~10% from Q4. A supply-chain report indicates that AMD would be preparing increases close to 10% in AI accelerators, GPUs, and chipsets, after TSMC moved higher manufacturing costs. If AMD can pass most of the cost increase to its customers without losing volume, it would be showing something Wall Street values a lot: pricing power. Demand for compute capacity is still enormous, and when supply is constrained, higher prices don’t necessarily destroy demand. They can end up sustaining—or even expanding—revenue and margins. The other side of the story is TSMC. AMD relies on TSMC to manufacture a large portion of its chips. If advanced wafer costs continue to rise, semiconductor inflation could travel across the whole chain: For now, the market seems to be interpreting the potential increase more as pricing power than as a cost problem. {future}(AMDUSDT)
