Because after a vertical rally, a lot of the time the smartest thing is to wait for the rejection… and short with discipline.
This is one of those trades:
BANKUSDT Perpetual – Short 20x
Entry: 0.3099861
Exit: 0.16340
Result: +1,767.31%
My entry logic (July 21st):
BANK had just come off a parabolic pump driven by the BTCfi + yield narrative.
The price had surged over 500% in just a few days, funding was positive (longs were paying), and volume was extreme.
In these low-cap moves with a strong narrative, there’s almost always a distribution phase.
I saw a clear rejection in the overextension zone and decided to enter a short with strict risk management.
Management:
• High leverage (20x) → only because the setup had a good risk/reward ratio and the stop was clearly defined.
• This wasn’t “all-in.” It was a calculated trade.
• I exited when price broke the bearish structure and started showing signs of the move running out of steam.
The biggest takeaway from this trade:
Trading isn’t about guessing the next pump.
It’s about recognizing when the market is stretched and acting with discipline, even when everyone else is euphoric.
This isn’t a signal.
It’s the result of reading the context, respecting risk, and executing the plan.
