DeFi project Ede Finance admitted to price manipulation after being hacked by an attacker for $580,000. The attacker claimed that the team had a backdoor that could clear any user’s transactions on the decentralized protocol, and involved issues such as false prices and intent to steal user funds. The Ede team admits to making the unwise decision to manipulate prices and will delete the smart contract that enabled this behavior, agree to the terms of the bounty, and use its own funds to cover the shortfall.
