LNbits issued an emergency security warning after multiple attacks, urging all users to shut down their servers until a critical vulnerability is fixed. According to Odaily, operator @KevinR4 said attackers created new accounts and withdrew funds, causing a loss of 2,285,545 sats over nearly five hours. He said he would compensate affected BitTipBot users, but the funds would remain unavailable until the vulnerability is fixed. LNbits said it expects to release a security patch within 24 to 48 hours and urged users to forward the warning to people operating LNbits instances.
