ALERT: Keplr suspends Google and Apple logins following reports of unauthorized wallet transactions. $IDOL
The Cosmos ecosystem wallet received reports of funds being moved from accounts created using Google or Apple login, without their owners’ approval.
Keplr is investigating the incident together with Web3Auth, the third-party authentication provider responsible for the social login feature. Web3Auth has also suspended its login service following a security incident that affected third-party platforms.
If you created a Keplr wallet using Google or Apple: $KOMA
🔹 Do not deposit additional funds into this wallet.
🔹 Do not import the affected wallet again or recreate it in another app.
🔹 Ignore unsolicited recovery messages and links.
Follow updates only through Keplr’s official channels.
According to Keplr’s preliminary assessment, wallets created using seed phrases or hardware wallets do not appear to have been affected. $AIOT
The cause, number of wallets affected, and total losses are still unknown. Both companies are investigating the case.
