Futures don’t control the market—the spot market is the main driver!

Many traders confuse futures with the spot market.

Futures are merely contracts for speculating on price expectations; they do not mean you actually own the currency. Therefore, a rise in open interest does not necessarily mean the price will go up or down.

The spot market is the basis of supply and demand, while futures contracts are used for speculation and hedging, generating huge revenues for platforms through fees and liquidations.

Sudden crashes, however, liquidate leveraged positions and amplify fear among traders.

Don’t confuse a leverage correction with a collapse of the overall trend.

What happened on Friday may be an opportunity for the market to reset, not necessarily the end of Bitcoin.

Don’t let fear make decisions for you.
