I came across Anza urging Solana mainnet validators to upgrade to Agave 4.4.1 as soon as possible, or they could be forked off the network when epoch 1079 begins.
The epoch is expected to switch around 21:30 Beijing time tonight (about 13:30 UTC). This patch adds a minimum data size requirement for loader-v3 ProgramData accounts. It’s a compatibility fix ahead of a later feature gate activation—not optional. Those running Firedancer can upgrade to v26.10.6 instead.
It’s only been a few days since 4.4.0 was released, and now there’s another one. Validators depend on this for their livelihood; being a few hours late could mean losing their place in consensus and their rewards. $SOL #Solana #Agave
