🧭 Crypto Watch

1️⃣ After Democrats won both the House and Senate, BTC briefly dipped to around $75,000 before rebounding in a V-shaped recovery and reclaiming $80,000. Markets broadly recovered: “sell the rumor, buy the news”—uncertainty is what capital markets fear most.

2️⃣ Binance hack preliminary investigation report: The attack began with a fake job interview and compromised AI coding tools (including a supply-chain breach involving Homebrew and others). The attackers infiltrated the wallet-signing service over several months. The FBI pointed to North Korea-linked groups.

3️⃣ After the midterm elections, the TRUMP token fell about 20% in a single day, with WLFI also declining. Democrats plan to investigate the Trump family’s crypto businesses, including WLFI. On the same day, Justin Sun’s legal team asked a court to sanction World Liberty Financial and its lawyers, alleging that they disclosed only months into the lawsuit that a shareholder was a UAE citizen, in an attempt to influence federal jurisdiction.

4️⃣ Strategy’s STRC preferred shares climbed back above their $100 par value for the first time since around May, opening an ATM window. Meanwhile, STRC’s dividend payment terms were revised to allow payments every business day. The community expects this to bring a new wave of funding for Bitcoin purchases.

5️⃣ SEC staff issued a no-action letter to Canton Coin, determining that it is a “digital commodity” (with value derived from programmatic operation and supply and demand, rather than the efforts of a central party) and does not require securities registration. This was seen as a positive signal for regulatory clarity, though it reflects staff’s position and is not a final court ruling.

📌 U.S. Stock Market

1️⃣ The three major indexes closed sharply higher: the Nasdaq rose more than 1%, the Dow led gains, Apple climbed over 5%, and Chinese stocks listed in the U.S. surged.

2️⃣ Memory and optical communications stocks plunged: Micron (MU) fell 7% as investors took profits in high-flying memory stocks, while the fallout from Intel’s shock results continued.

3️⃣ Large-cap tech stocks such as Microsoft and Amazon rose, while AI heavyweights diverged—big tech earnings were strong, but some AI hardware stocks faced selling.

4️⃣ After Apple’s earnings missed expectations, its shares rose about 5% on Nov. 4 as sentiment recovered; SPCX held up relatively well.

5️⃣ CRCL strengthened alongside BTC’s move above $80,000, lifting high-beta crypto stocks.

6️⃣ Gold rose while international oil prices plunged. Chinese stocks listed in the U.S. surged. Risk appetite recovered after the Democrats’ victory, with markets awaiting Russia-Ukraine talks and further signals from the Federal Reserve.
