There are only 9.56 tokens left on the $BNB side of the pool, while the other side has 3,790 of $CKP . Yet the price is acting like nothing’s wrong, down only about 1%. This one needs a closer look.

Cakepie is a SubDAO under Magpie. It locks CAKE into veCAKE to keep PancakeSwap’s voting and yield mechanics going. $CKP is its governance token, launched in January 2024 and running on BSC.

The pool drawing attention on the rankings is CKP/WBNB. WBNB is $BNB wrapped and put on-chain. The starting figures show 2,030 WBNB; now only 9.56 remain, less than half the starting amount. On the CKP side, it started with 326,000 tokens and now has 3,790 left, about 1%. The pool is currently worth around $13,200 in total, compared with $2.82 million at the start. Spread across roughly 10,400 holder addresses, that’s less than $1.30 per address.

Over the past 24 hours, this pool saw just 19 trades: 8 buys totaling $632 and 11 sells totaling $374, or about $1,000 altogether. Buy and sell taxes are both 0. Of 814 addresses that simulated selling, 811 succeeded and 3 failed. The contract has a blacklist feature, so some addresses may be blocked from selling. Check whether yours is on the list before making a move. The top ten addresses hold about 98% of the supply, excluding the burn address. Market cap figures vary severalfold across sources, so this article won’t focus on market cap.

Holders only need to keep an eye on one thing: whether liquidity on the WBNB side gets replenished. Wait until it’s back above double digits before saying the pool has recovered. As long as the pool remains like this, even a somewhat larger order will run into slippage first.

This is not investment advice. Alpha tokens are high-risk and could go to zero. I’ll report back if anything changes with the pool.
