Institutional capital is entering RWA credit, adding another compliant example.

Birch Hill has completed a $4 million financing round, with participation from ParaFi Capital, Castle Island Ventures, and Nascent. The round was not disclosed; the company has raised about $6.5 million to date, and its team includes former Goldman Sachs and BlackRock employees.

Its approach goes beyond simply putting Treasuries on-chain. Within the U.S. regulatory framework, it evaluates, structures, and distributes private loans for multifamily housing, agriculture, energy, and other sectors on-chain. The company also serves as an official vault curator for Morpho and has applied to FINRA for broker-dealer status.

The key point is this: if the licenses are granted, traditional credit assets could connect to a broader pool of capital through on-chain vaults, improving transparency and distribution efficiency. But the underlying risk controls, compliance costs, and actual liquidity after assets go on-chain will still need to stand the test of time.

Competition in RWA is shifting from yield narratives to a contest over “compliant channels + asset sourcing capabilities.” #RWA #链上信贷 #Morpho
