HYPE’s spot trading volume jumped to about $17.18 million at 18:00, compared with only about $240,000 in the previous hour.
On OKX’s hourly chart, the price closed at 85.482 at 18:00, up from 79.375, and then closed at 87.983 at 19:00, with trading volume still around $12.32 million during that hour. Two consecutive hourly candles closed higher, and trading volume was far above previous levels.
My view is that short-term momentum has not yet faded. Trading volume at 19:00 was about $4.86 million lower than at 18:00. The fact that the price touched 88.023 intrahour alone is not enough to conclude that it has stabilized at a high level. The 19:00 close was still below that price.
I’m watching more closely to see whether the 20:00 close can hold above 85.482. If it falls below that level, the recent continuation will need to be reassessed; if it stays above, I’ll then watch whether trading volume can remain higher than the roughly $240,000 seen at 17:00.
