【Down 99%—why am I not rushing to buy the dip?】
STRK is down about 99% from its all-time high. It may look like “gold lying everywhere,” but a low price has never been proof of value. I’ve been through several market cycles and seen far too many oversold coins simply get even cheaper.
My view: choppy, with a downward bias over the next 7 days. Three reasons. First, it fell 15.1% in 7 days, while trading volume rose to more than 5% of its market cap. That looks more like a change of hands between buyers and sellers than a reversal—funds may just be moving from one set of weak hands to another. Second, the Fear and Greed Index is at 51, indicating a neutral overall market: neither extreme fear nor clear evidence of fresh buying. Third, support is at 0.044073 and resistance at 0.04921. Price is stuck in a range, and the market hasn’t picked a direction yet.
In practical terms, this means short-term traders will continue to face volatility, while liquidity providers may encounter greater slippage. Until there’s evidence of users, revenue, or genuine usage, I won’t dress up “it’s fallen a lot” as proof that the business case is sound. Who’s using it? Does the product solve a real need? Can value flow back to holders? Those are the key questions.
What would prove me wrong? If STRK breaks above 0.04921 on high volume and holds there for two consecutive days, with market sentiment clearly improving at the same time, I’ll admit I underestimated the buying pressure. On the other hand, if it falls below 0.044073 and volume continues to rise, my bearish view will only be reinforced.
Do you think this is a genuine breakout, or will it keep falling after this change of hands? When we look back next week, who will be right?
What’s your take? ⬆️ Bullish / ⬇️ Bearish / ➡️ Sideways
