Solflare’s own validator has stopped earning rewards—not because the wallet was drained, but because a third-party staking provider had a key-related incident.
@solflare official (10-28 07:26 Asia/Shanghai): The provider notified them of a security incident affecting Solflare validator keys held on their behalf. They’re investigating; as a result, that validator is temporarily not earning rewards. In short: Your $SOL is safe.
The key point about how this works: delegated stake on Solana remains in your own stake account, and validators/providers don’t have withdrawal authority—this is not the same as “having your coins in an exchange account.” The Defiant / CryptoBriefing, citing a tracker, report that about 1.56M $SOL was delegated to this node. Solflare plans to guide users through moving to a new validator in the app, and says it will compensate users who complete the migration (amount not disclosed). Only migrate through the official app—don’t click DMs or unfamiliar links.
