Why has GANG suddenly surged? Who exactly is driving the price up?

Recently, BSC ecosystem meme coin GANG suddenly gained momentum, with its market cap briefly climbing to $6–7 million and its intraday gain exceeding 60%. Why has a coin that launched just a few days ago attracted so much capital?
I think there are three main reasons.
First, it caught the #AIAgent wave of hype.
GANG is built around gang.fun, combining AI agents with token creation and trading mechanisms. With the AI narrative heating up, it’s natural for the market to pay attention, and short-term traders are more willing to jump in and speculate.
Second, buybacks and burns create room for speculation.
According to the mechanism announced by the project, some of the platform’s trading fees will be used to buy back and burn GANG. The more active trading becomes, the more closely the market watches the scale of the buybacks. But buybacks don’t guarantee that the token’s price will rise; what matters is the actual trading volume and how the mechanism is carried out going forward.
Third, its small market cap amplifies price gains.
GANG launched recently and has a relatively small market cap. When hype, trading volume, and market sentiment align, the price can rise rapidly. But rapid gains also mean greater risk: if the money flows out, the correction could be just as sharp.
So, who exactly is driving the price up?
There isn’t enough evidence at the moment to prove that a specific market player is behind this rally. The project team’s ongoing updates on buybacks and ecosystem developments may have boosted market confidence, but we’ll need to examine on-chain data to determine which addresses are responsible for the actual buying.
My take: This rally seems to be driven by a combination of the AI narrative, the buyback mechanism, and short-term capital. For now, it’s too early to simply conclude that a market player is manipulating the price.
There are three things to watch next: whether buybacks continue, whether trading volume holds up, and whether large wallets start selling in a concentrated way.
If the price is rising without support from real usage, the rally may be driven mostly by sentiment;
if the ecosystem continues to grow, GANG may have a chance to go further.
Do you think GANG’s rally is a reassessment of its value, or just speculation driven by capital?
