A couple of casual notes before the US market opens
There’s no new narrative in US stocks today, just percentage moves.
For technical levels, I’m using today’s high and low—not forcing old support levels onto the chart.
US Dollar Index 101.75 (5-day +0.02%)
Nasdaq 25,955 (5-day -0.71%, Yahoo)
BTC 24h high 81034 / low 79221, current price 80402. S&P 500 -0.47%, Nasdaq -0.71%—the indices aren’t diverging. If they’re not diverging, don’t make up a sector story. Wait for the next volume spike.
ETH 24h -1.69%, weaker than BTC at -0.37%; exchange rate 0.029. Capital is consolidating into BTC, so I’m staying cautious on altcoins until they show strength.
VIX is now 19.45. If it moves above 18, I’ll cut my futures position in half. I’m not going to argue with the US closing price.
My position: sitting on the sidelines. Price hasn’t picked a direction, and leverage hasn’t paid off either. Opening a position now would just be working for the exchange.
Data: Binance spot 24h / Binance USDⓈ-M / Yahoo daily (5-day change) / altme_fng / mempool_fees / defillama_chains / coingecko_trending. No filling in missing numbers.
Would you place bids at pullback levels, or wait for the candle to close?

Useful takeaway: OI is the notional value of open positions, not trading volume.
Food for thought: Positions down, price flat: that’s position closing, not accumulation. The market hasn’t paid for a direction yet.

BTC 80,402 -0.37% Binance spot 24h
ETH 2,332 -1.69% ETH/BTC 0.029

VIX 19.45 +5.48% Yahoo
Funding rate 0.0075% OI 7.48B (24h -1.54) Long/short 2.0553 Binance USDⓈ-M
For context: people elsewhere are talking about “bitcoin OR stock market OR US stocks” - Google News. I’m only using that as background; the conclusion is still based on the numbers in the main post.
Personal opinion; numbers are from the sources listed in the main post. Not a trading instruction.
