Down more than $650,000 in a day—and this account still has over $1.8 million 😂
There’s a Top 100 account on a social copy-trading platform that lost around $651,000 in just 24 hours. Its equity curve has been almost a straight line down, with roughly $1.81 million left on the books. Only about $44,000 is in cash; the rest is still tied up in positions, which makes it look even more nerve-racking. The profile says “don’t chase pumps, just hold,” but today’s market still dealt it a serious blow. Even an average holding period of about 12 days didn’t prevent the drawdown. There are plenty of replies: some are joking that the trader is eating crayons, while others say it’s pretty common around here for a million-dollar account to give back hundreds of thousands in a day.
When Bitcoin plunged below $80,000 over the weekend, a lot of people in the market took a hit. Seeing an account of this size give back hundreds of thousands in a day is enough to make you feel for them. Watching that curve dive makes your palms sweat too.
