U.S. storage chip stocks rose, but on-chain storage didn’t follow

- SK Hynix (SKHY) rose 6.02%, SanDisk (SNDK) 7.15%, Western Digital (WDC) 5.29%, Micron (MU) 4.28%, and Seagate (STX) 3.75%. Capital was concentrated in HBM and NAND modules.
- Decentralized storage didn’t benefit from this spillover. FIL’s network-wide effective storage capacity and staking additions haven’t increased over the past two weeks, while AR’s data upload fee revenue remains flat at a low level, with no increase in on-chain fees.

In the short term, watch whether FIL can hold the $2.1–$2.2 range. A break below would confirm that liquidity is continuing to drain. If AR rebounds above $20, overhead supply from previous buyers who are underwater may weigh on it, making it risky to chase. Are you chasing chip stocks in this AI storage rally, or buying the dip in storage tokens here? What’s your cost basis?
