🐋 GALAXY RESEARCH: BTC NET SELLING REACHES 127,319 BTC IN 2026
Alex Thorn of Galaxy Research explains Bitcoin’s weakness since October: spot ETFs are seeing outflows, and companies with BTC treasuries have reduced their purchases.
Galaxy’s indicator measures institutional absorption (ETF inflows + treasury purchases) against distribution by long-term holders (BTC that moves after being inactive for more than 5 years). The year-to-date cumulative result: net selling dominance of 127,319 BTC.
In October, net flows were approximately -20,000 BTC. ETFs returned to outflows, and corporate purchases remain limited.
Bitcoin is trading at $82,000. The question is whether long-term whales will keep selling or whether support will hold.
