10.19 Bitcoin and Ethereum Reference Strategy
A new week opens, and this Bitcoin rebound looks lively, but it’s really just short covering propping things up. Don’t let it throw you off.
After dropping from around 80,800, it’s now slowly clawing its way back. It looks like the bulls have caught their breath, but they’re actually running on fumes. The higher it pushes, the more pent-up the selling pressure below becomes.
The Bollinger Bands are widening, and the candlesticks have touched the middle band. A few small bullish candles have popped up, and there’s been no immediate plunge, so things look fairly steady. But this isn’t genuine strength—it’s building momentum for another drop. Don’t be fooled by this slow, grinding rise. The more it creeps up like this, the harder the next drop will be.
Bitcoin is now stuck in the 82,000–82,500 resistance zone, with plenty of trapped buyers above and volume failing to keep up. A clean breakout is highly unlikely.
The plan for today remains unchanged: keep shorting the rebound:
Short Bitcoin around 82,800, with an initial target of 80,000.
Short Ethereum around 2,450, with an initial target of 2,300.
