$82 million was pulled out of Bitcoin ETFs in a single day yesterday. $BTC is now hovering around 81,562, down 0.59% over 24 hours. That may not look like much, but with funding rates at +0.0091% and the long/short position ratio at 1.71, I personally feel the market is a bit overinflated with longs.
Ethereum is in even worse shape: its ETFs saw nearly $70 million in net outflows, and $ETH fell to 2,429, down 0.52% over 24 hours. Only 15.8% of coins are rising, while the Fear and Greed Index sits at 55 in the Greed zone. This kind of divergence often means sentiment is still running on momentum. XRP fell nearly 2%, and $SOL was also in the red. Aside from small-cap coins like TIA bouncing around, the broader market is basically drifting lower.
Money is flowing out, but prices haven’t collapsed—is it all being propped up by retail longs? These low-volume declines are the most grinding: slowly edging down without much drama, and messing with your head more than a sudden wick that liquidates positions. As long as $BTC holds above 81,000, we’re still in a range. If it breaks that level, short-term caution should be at an absolute maximum. In this market, keeping your hands off the controls matters more than trying to call the top or bottom.
If it were you, seeing ETFs bleed funds day after day while still holding long positions, would you cut your exposure and wait, or hang on no matter what?
