Going all-in on altcoins has become extremely risky. If U.S. stocks officially move to almost round-the-clock trading on weekdays, liquidity for altcoins could shrink even further. If you're chasing high returns, honestly, altcoins may offer less certainty than 2x BTC—unless you think there's a high chance of picking a red-hot winner. Of course, that doesn't mean I'm bearish on altcoins. Blockchain infrastructure and established DeFi projects are still the key assets I'm watching during this daily-level pullback in the current wave: $BTC .

In crypto right now, choosing the right assets matters more than working hard. I recommend buying only strong coins. Here's a summary of the leading projects in each sector:

BNB — leading CEX
HYPE — leading Perp DEX
LIT — runner-up Perp DEX, driven by RH and expectations of U.S. regulatory support
PUMP — largest Meme Launchpad
PONS — largest Meme Launchpad in the Robinhood ecosystem
UNI — largest AMM DEX
PENDLE — leading platform for on-chain interest-rate trading
Morpho, AAVE — leading projects in DeFi lending
ENA — decentralized algorithmic stablecoin
DOGE — leading MEME coin
LINK — clear leader in the oracle sector
ZEC — leading project in the privacy coin sector
RAY — liquidity-focused DeFi protocol on Solana
AERO — AMM DEX on Base

I think the key to picking coins right now is still a project's position in its niche. The ones that truly take off are often projects that have already secured a leading position and can continue to benefit from industry growth. You may see that many projects have already risen a lot and reached high market caps, and feel too nervous to buy them, so you turn to junk coins worth just tens of millions. In the end, you find that the ones that have already risen a lot keep climbing, while the junk coins that haven't moved much are on a one-way trip to zero.
