Let’s talk about limit orders and market orders.
With a limit order, you set the price yourself: a buy order will only be filled at your set price or lower, while a sell order will only be filled at your set price or higher.
One thing many people overlook: the thinner the order book and the larger the order, the greater the slippage on a market order is likely to be. Slippage is usually much lower for major trading pairs with good liquidity.
Be careful of slippage when using market orders during sharp price swings. If you’re placing a larger order, consider splitting it into several limit orders.
