BNB’s 37th burn is coming in mid-October—but let’s temper expectations: historical data shows that the price rarely takes off on burn day itself.

With burns occurring quarterly on a 90-day cycle, BNB’s 37th Auto-Burn is due in mid-October, though BNB Chain has yet to announce the exact date.
First, a look at the previous burn: On July 15, the 36th burn removed 1.6158 million $BNB , worth about $932 million at the time, leaving a circulating supply of approximately 133.17 million.
We won’t know how much will be burned this time until the official transaction is announced. The Auto-Burn amount is based on the average price of BNB and the number of blocks produced on BSC during the quarter, with the ultimate goal of reducing the total supply to 100 million.
$BNB is currently trading at around $744 and has been range-bound between $750 and $800 for several weeks. The $800–$807 zone is resistance left by September’s highs, while $700–$720 is support. It’s still about 46% below its all-time high of $1,369.99 on October 13 last year.

What’s the takeaway? The burn is BNB’s most certain deflationary narrative, but it’s a “slow-moving variable”: Since the process began in 2017, around 1.2% of the supply has been burned each quarter. Everyone in the market knows about it in advance, so the price rarely rallies on burn day itself. What could really help BNB break out of its range is demand: the scale of tokenized assets on BNB Chain, BEP-95 burns driven by gas consumption, and broader market sentiment. My key level is simple: whether BNB can hold above $800 is more worth watching than the burn announcement itself.
