October 11 Koi Morning Brief:
1. $BTC is trading sideways. At $83K, it still has a chance to push to $85K.
2. $ETH is charting a range around $2,500. It needs to hold above that level before it has a chance to push toward $2,800–$3,000 again;
3. You can tell $SOL has big plans, with all kinds of initiatives driving its ecosystem;
4. Ethereum ETFs saw net outflows of $542.1 million last week, while Solana ETFs ended a 14-week streak of consecutive inflows;
5. The seven largest hedge funds’ net exposure has risen to a record 22%, and crowded trades could heighten the risk of a market pullback;
6. The POAP founder, who holds $129 million worth of ETH, sold 8,000 ETH over six days and transferred another 4,000 ETH to Gemini six hours ago;
7. The U.S. SEC sued two former executives of Linqto, alleging they defrauded retail investors out of more than $430 million;
8. Trump said the attack on Saudi Arabia was unacceptable and that he would contact the Houthis and the Saudi Crown Prince;
Israeli media: U.S. and Israeli leaders held urgent talks about striking Iran again;
9. Financial Times: Nvidia is in talks to acquire Reflection AI, valued at $25 billion;
10. Microsoft CEO Nadella: Frontier AI models should be treated as internal risks, with an “emergency brake” in place;
11. Supply-chain attack confirmed: Ledger says at least one affected user device contained an unauthorized hardware implant;
12. The French National Assembly’s Finance Committee approved amendments introducing a stablecoin conversion tax and a crypto exit tax, but later rejected the budget revenue section by 31 votes to 3;
13. SVRN acquires NEAR infrastructure platform FastNEAR;
----------------
In the primary market, the money is still ultimately flowing to SOL, with all kinds of price-pumping innovations and million-dollar gems. Waiting for the next ones—worth keeping an eye on.
BSC-chain model plays are taking off. The leaders, SpaceXSI, have both crossed the million mark, and other small-cap projects are getting pumped too.
Being able to execute is much better than Robinhood, but the ceiling is still low for now. It’d be great if a few reached tens of millions.
In the secondary market, sector rotation has moved to Layer 1 and Layer 2. Two infrastructure sectors are leading. Tokens that hadn’t pumped before, such as ZK, STRK, and CFX, have delivered as hoped: after pumping following last year’s 2049, they’re switching tracks and pumping again this year.
Projects that can pump their prices are still a bit better than those that can execute. Worth continuing to watch.
