Place a limit order to buy JPMorgan stock on Binance—and still pay no trading fees?
On October 7, Binance Spot listed four U.S. stock tokens (bStocks): $JPMB (JPMorgan Chase), $LLYB (Eli Lilly), $SECZB , and $USDEB, all paired with USDT. The best part: Binance is offering zero Maker fees from launch through November 1 at 07:59 (Beijing time), so limit-order traders can save on fees. Converting these four tokens in Convert is also free, and you can mint tokens 1:1 from the corresponding shares you hold and withdraw them on-chain (BSC).
My take: Binance is getting better at tokenizing stocks—you can buy U.S. stocks with USDT without opening an overseas brokerage account, which is genuinely appealing to retail investors. But don’t lose sight of what these are: bStocks aren’t actual shares, just a form of tracking certificate. They don’t grant shareholder rights, and U.S. users can’t buy them at all. The short-term perk is zero Maker fees; the long-term question is whether U.S. stock assets can build real trading depth on-chain. Feel free to ride the hype, but don’t get carried away with your position size.
