MARA moves large amounts of Bitcoin amid a wave of market liquidations

MARA Holdings transferred approximately 996 Bitcoin, worth $81.13 million, to a wallet associated with Galaxy Digital, without confirming whether the move was a prelude to a sale or simply an asset transfer.

The move comes amid a decline in the company’s Bitcoin reserves and a shift toward investing in artificial intelligence and data centers.

Meanwhile, Bitcoin’s price approached $81,000, while cryptocurrency market liquidations exceeded $1 billion over 24 hours, coinciding with large outflows from Bitcoin ETFs.

Moves by major companies and outflows from ETFs could increase pressure on Bitcoin. However, transferring coins to a platform or wallet associated with a financial entity does not necessarily mean they will be sold. The $81,000 level remains an important area to watch for price movements in the coming period.
