When the flowers aren’t fully in bloom and the moon isn’t quite full, the word traders should fear most is “all.”

The ancients said: “When the flowers aren’t fully in bloom and the moon isn’t quite full, a little fullness is better than perfection.”

Once flowers are in full bloom, they begin to fade; once the moon is full, it begins to wane.

The same goes for trading: buy near the second-lowest point and sell near the second-highest, leaving the very last bit of profit for someone else. It may look like you made less, but in fact, it’s steadier and more sustainable.

What lasts isn’t perfection—it’s knowing when you have enough.
