Institutional funds in Ethereum have shown another signal worth watching.
According to SoSoValue data, U.S. spot ETH ETFs saw combined net outflows of approximately $72.54 million on October 8, marking 8 consecutive trading days of net outflows.
Among them, BlackRock's ETHA saw net outflows of approximately $71.12 million in a single day, accounting for nearly all of that day's total outflows.
Meanwhile, Fidelity's FETH still saw net inflows of around $5.5 million, while Morgan Stanley's MSSE saw inflows of approximately $1.32 million.
But these inflows were still not enough to offset the overall withdrawal of funds.
Put simply: not every institution is selling ETH, but pressure on funds across the spot ETF market has yet to ease.
As of now, the total net assets of U.S. spot ETH ETFs stand at approximately $15.636 billion, while cumulative historical net inflows remain at $13.316 billion. This shows that the amount of capital accumulated in the past is still substantial, but the direction of fund flows has clearly weakened recently.
📌 What really matters to watch next is not just how much ETH ETFs continue to see outflows, but whether this wave of outflows will persist and when institutional funds will begin flowing back in.
Eight consecutive days of outflows is a signal worth paying attention to, but it doesn't mean the price of ETH will necessarily keep falling. It should also be assessed alongside ETH's price movements, spot demand, and overall market sentiment.
