$BTC: Check volume and open interest first, then draw a directional conclusion

I’ll track price and positions separately rather than treating a single candlestick as evidence.

In the synchronized snapshot as of 12:04 Beijing time on October 9, $BTC was quoted at 82,450.01 USDT on Binance, while OKX was at 82,433.20. By timeframe, BTC was up 0.03% over 15 minutes, 0.38% over 1 hour, and 0.82% over 4 hours. Volume and open interest data showed a 1-hour volume ratio of 0.80, a 0.18% drop in 1-hour OI, and a funding rate of +0.0066%.

Price, volume, and positions have yet to move in clear unison, so it’s more appropriate to watch the range for now. Another possibility is that existing positions are exiting first, meaning the price move may not indicate that new capital has picked a side.

The current range has a lower reference level of 80,393.56 and an upper reference level of 83,283.28. A move above 83,283.28 would confirm an upside breakout; a drop below 80,393.56 would signal weakness. Until either boundary is breached, a directional call remains unconfirmed. I’ll track the changes without chasing a single candlestick.

This is an observation of publicly available market data and does not constitute investment advice.
