I have a few trading ideas today that I’d like to share for everyone’s reference.

They may not necessarily be right,
but they’re worth considering.

Today I opened long positions in both Bitcoin and gold at the same time.
Because I entered at relatively high prices,
and I tend to focus on the profit and loss figures,
Bitcoin has been moving sideways near the highs for the past hour or two,
and the P&L has been going up a little,
then down a little,
and sometimes it’s even been negative.

But why have I been able to hold on,
or, rather, why have I held on until now?
Because whenever I notice the P&L on Bitcoin dropping again,
I check my gold position.
If the P&L on gold hasn’t dropped,
or is still holding near its high,
then I don’t panic,
and I just keep holding.

So,
sometimes,
when we open a position, we need to find an anchor.
That anchor
could be an event that continues to gain momentum,
or it could be one or more other assets—watching B while trading A.
