Today's close: $BTC ends at 81,997 USDT, down 1.41% over 24 hours. Many took it for granted that 82,000 would hold, and here we are, just below it. The key question is where the real floor is: the 48-hour low and the low for the entire week both stand at 80,400. That's the level to watch.
The sharpest losses were among the major altcoins. SOL fell 5.97% to 109.5, BNB dropped 4.68%, and ETH 3.79%. All are just a few steps above their weekly lows (SOL 105.7, BNB 717, ETH 2,406). The 4-hour RSI readings are in oversold territory: 23 for SOL and 28 for ETH and BNB. One striking detail: today's volume is 90% to 96% below the 7-day average. The decline happened on very little participation, which reduces conviction among both sellers and buyers.
Among the biggest gainers, OGN stands out at +83.2%, followed by RLC, AMP, and STRK, all up more than +23%. On the downside were ORCA at -17.3%, MINA at -14.7%, and CRV at -12.9%. There was no common catalyst today to explain these moves. They look like isolated rallies in small-cap coins, which is typical on low-volume days, when a small amount of money can move prices a lot. Chasing an +83% gain on a day like this usually ends up being costly.
USDT P2P is calm in Peru: 3.43 soles per USDT, down 0.15% on the day and 0.61% for the week. Venezuela is a different story. USDT P2P is at 1,018.49 Bs, up 5.84% in 7 days, and the gap against the BCV rate (875.65) has already reached 16.3%. For anyone paid in bolívares, USDT remains a safe haven, even while the crypto market is in the red.
Tomorrow, I’d keep an eye on these levels:
- $BTC 80,400: if it closes below this level on the 4-hour chart, the weekly structure breaks, and I wouldn’t look for buying opportunities.
- Reclaiming 84,400 (the 48-hour high) would be the first sign that the drop was just a shakeout.
- SOL at 105.7: it’s the weakest of the group. If that level holds, it could lead the rebound.
The discussion around the Fed minutes could also add volatility, so my plan would be to wait for the reaction at those levels before entering. With the RSI so low, a rebound is possible, but without volume, I wouldn’t believe it.

Would you buy at 80,400 if $BTC it touches that level, or wait for it to reclaim 84,400 for confirmation? 📊
This is not financial advice.
