PA News October 9 report: According to an official announcement from Anthropic, Anthropic has updated its usage policies. It has added a clause prohibiting “continued and meaningless abuse or cruel behavior” toward Claude, stating that it applies only to extreme cases and does not include normal dissatisfaction, rebuttals, creating content with dark themes, or model testing. In addition, the new policy changes the election section to “must not disrupt the democratic process,” and adds provisions banning deceptive propaganda and false activities, weapon guidance software, and tracking individuals without consent. The changes will take effect on November 12.
