The P2P USDT in Venezuela closed the Oct 8, 2026 capture with two signals pointing in opposite directions. The market has plenty of counterparties: the P2P Radar liquidity indicator shows 95 out of 100, and the banking availability indicator is 95. But the spread indicator stays at 20 out of 100 and the depth at 45. This combination is what explains why the traffic light is yellow —"Moderate caution," score 65— even though there are almost 300 active offers.

📈 What a 17.09% premium versus BCV means
The calculation is straightforward: (1,024.2567 − 874.7321) ÷ 874.7321 = 17.09%. In other words, USDT on P2P is being obtained 17.09% above the official rate published by the Central Bank of Venezuela. That is an arithmetic fact, not an opinion.
The interpretation comes later, and it should be done carefully. The premium does not measure anyone's "profit": it measures the distance between the administered price and the price at which real trades are crossing with bolívars. When that distance remains wide, the market is assigning the bolívar a rate different from the official one for buying digital dollars.
There is a useful contrast in the same data: the parallel dollar reported by Radar stood at Bs. 1,020.54, just 0.36% below P2P USDT. The big gap is against BCV, not against the parallel rate. That detail often gets lost when one reads only the 17% headline.
🔎 The order book: 70.66% of the volume is on the buy side
Here is the most informative part of the snapshot. The order book shows a pronounced imbalance:
• Buy side: 535,267.61 USDT in 35 orders.
• Seller side: 92,013.68 USDT in 38 orders.
• Imbalance: 70.66% of the total volume is on the side that wants to buy USDT.
The ratio is 5.8 to 1 in volume, but with an interesting twist: there are more sell orders (38) than buy orders (35). The average ticket explains it all. Buys average about 15,293 USDT per order; sells, about 2,421 USDT. In other words: demand is concentrated in a few large counterparties, while supply is fragmented across many small hands.
That pattern is typical of a market with sustained buying pressure. When the large side of the book is the buyer, price tends to hold near the high end and it becomes harder to find discounts.
💰 High liquidity does not equal low spread
This is the central lesson of the day. The sub-indicators of the traffic light say it unambiguously:
• Liquidity: 95/100.
• Bank availability: 95/100.
• Exchange health: 95/100.
• Data freshness: 100/100.
• Spread: 20/100.
• Depth: 45/100.
• Volatility: 40/100.
Liquidity and spread measure different things. Liquidity answers "is there someone to trade with?". Spread answers "at what cost do I cross?". There can be many counterparties available and, even so, a wide gap between the bid and ask. That is exactly what this snapshot shows: 292 active offers coexisting with a 2.98% spread.
To put it in bolívars: 100 USDT translate to Bs. 99,459.86 at the snapshot's ask price, and Bs. 1,000,000 are equivalent to about 1,005.43 USDT. Every tenth of a percentage point in spread moves the final result of a trade.
