To be honest, I used to really love watching the long-short ratio. Whenever I saw a high proportion of longs, I would follow along and go long, but as a result I got wicked out several times.
Later I came to understand: the long-short ratio tells you which side the majority is on, but the market often likes to move in the opposite direction.
Today $BTC all-platform account long-short ratio is 1.79, with more longs than shorts, so I take it as a reminder.
