There are three numbers that come up in every conversation about USDT in Venezuela, and many people mix them up: the price at which it’s bought, the price at which it’s sold, and the BCV rate. They’re not the same, they’re not calculated the same way, and using one when the other applies is the fastest way to get the wrong impression of the market.

This guide uses the snapshot from October 8, 2026, at 08:00 (data time) to show how to read each figure, how to calculate the spread and premium, and how to convert all of that into bolivars for every 100 USDT. These are point-in-time references: they change throughout the day.

📊 The day's three numbers, without the fluff

• Buy price: Bs 1,052.42 per 1 USDT (Radar P2P). This is the reference for the side where bolivars are paid for USDT.

• Sell price: Bs 975.19 per 1 USDT (Radar P2P). This is the reference for the side where USDT is exchanged for bolivars.

• BCV rate: Bs 874.73 per USD (Central Bank of Venezuela). This is an official dollar reference rate, not a P2P market quote.

Verifiable fact: the three figures come from different sources and are published at different times. Interpretation: it only makes sense to compare them if you account for their different origins.

📈 P2P spread: the gap between the two prices in the same market

The spread is the gap between the buy price and the sell price of the same asset, in the same market, at the same time. It's calculated with a simple subtraction:

• Bs 1,052.42 − Bs 975.19 = Bs 77.23 in absolute spread.

• As a percentage, it depends on the base you use. Divided by the sell price: 77.23 / 975.19 = 7.92%, which is the figure published by Radar P2P.

• If you divide it by the buy price: 77.23 / 1,052.42 = 7.34%. That's also valid, but measures something different.

Why does the base matter? Because two people can cite "the day's spread" and mean different percentages for the same reality. When someone gives you a percentage, ask which price they divided it by.

Interpretation: a wide spread describes how far apart the entry and exit points are. Someone who buys at Bs 1,052.42 and then sells at Bs 975.19 receives Bs 77.23 less per USDT. That's an implicit cost of the round trip, not a forecast or an opportunity.

🔎 Premium against the BCV: the other comparison

The premium measures how much the USDT is quoted above or below the BCV rate. It's calculated by dividing the P2P price by the official rate and subtracting one:

• Based on the buy price: (1,052.42 / 874.73) − 1 = 20.31%. This is the figure reported by the market.

• Based on the sell price: (975.19 / 874.73) − 1 = 11.49% (calculated independently using the same data).

The useful takeaway: the premium is neither good nor bad in the abstract. It measures the gap between a market and an official reference rate. In the day's scoring, the premium component scored 75 out of 100, while the spread component scored 20. In other words, the gap against the BCV wasn't the most noteworthy thing that day; the difference between prices within the market itself was.

Keep in mind a common mistake: the BCV rate does not automatically "convert" into a P2P price. They are two different things and move for different reasons.

💰 How many bolivars for every 100 USDT

This is where the three numbers become concrete.

• 100 USDT at the published sell price (Bs 975.19): Bs 97,519.13.

• 100 USDT at the published buy price (Bs 1,052.42): Bs 105,241.95 (calculated independently).

• Difference between the two sides for every 100 USDT: Bs 7,722.82.

The reverse calculation is useful, too. To get Bs 1,000,000 by selling USDT at the published sell price, you need 1,025.44 USDT (tool data: 1,000,000 / 975.19). If you go the other way in the market, 1,000,000 / 1,052.42 ≈ 950.19 USDT.

A necessary clarification: these figures do not include network fees, platform fees, offer limits, or bank confirmation times. Any serious comparison has to account for them.
