📚 If you're starting to learn about crypto, there are some basics you should know before asking, “Which coin should I buy?”

As I mentioned in yesterday’s post, I’ll continue sharing here what I learn as I study crypto.

Today, I’d like to share 5 things every crypto beginner should know. 👇

1️⃣ What are Bitcoin and cryptocurrency?

Bitcoin was the first and is the best-known cryptocurrency. I personally call it “The Grandfather Cryptocurrency.”

If you’re starting to learn about crypto, it’s better to first understand the basics, such as Bitcoin, blockchain, and decentralization.

2️⃣ Don’t confuse Spot with Futures

In Spot trading, you buy and sell the asset directly. In Futures trading, you can use Long, Short, and Leverage.

Since Futures trading carries higher risk, beginners should learn about it thoroughly before considering it. ⚠️

3️⃣ Risk management is important

Just focusing on making a profit isn’t enough in the crypto market.

👉 “If this trade goes wrong, how much could I lose?”

This is something you should always keep in mind too. It’s very important.

4️⃣ Don’t buy out of FOMO

Seeing a coin’s price shoot up and buying it because you think, “If I don’t buy now, I’ll miss out,” is a common mistake beginners make.

There are always opportunities in the market. Missing one trade doesn’t mean you’ve missed every opportunity. 🧠

5️⃣ Don’t buy what you don’t understand

You shouldn’t invest your money just because someone says, “This coin is about to go up,” or because lots of people are talking about it on social media.

At the very least, you should research for yourself what the Project you’re buying does and why it might be valuable. 🔍

I’m still learning too.

But I think what matters in crypto isn’t making a profit as quickly as possible—it’s learning properly and knowing how to manage your risk.

Which of these 5 points do you think is the most important? 👇
