The Six Levels of Event Contract Trading: Which Level Are You At?

Level 1: The Gambler
You chase when you think prices will rise and bet when you think they’ll fall. After winning a few trades in a row, you start increasing your position and going all in, always hoping to double your money in a day. When you’re winning, you feel invincible. After a few losses in a row, you rush to make it all back—and end up giving back all your profits.

Level 2: The Technical Trader
You start obsessively studying candlestick charts, moving averages, MACD, support and resistance, and all kinds of indicators, hoping to find a direction that’s 100% accurate. Eventually, you realize that no technical tool can guarantee your next trade will win.

Level 3: The Strategy Trader
You start abandoning complicated indicators and only trade markets you understand. You don’t enter before your price level is reached, and you wait when the conditions aren’t right. Gradually, you develop your own trading logic—but the biggest challenge is still sticking to it.

Level 4: The Disciplined Trader
You truly start holding yourself to rules. You don’t add to a position after consecutive losses or casually increase your position size after consecutive wins. You follow a fixed strategy strictly, and your account balance starts to become more stable over time.

Level 5: The Probability Trader
You stop fixating on whether any single trade wins or loses, and understand that event contracts are fundamentally a probability game. You accept normal losses and focus only on your long-term win rate, position management, and overall returns.

Level 6: The Quantitative Trader
You hand your strategy, discipline, and execution over to AI-powered quantitative trading. Trades execute automatically when conditions are met; you never enter before your price level is reached, and you’re no longer swayed by greed, fear, or the urge to win back losses.

In the end, you’ll realize that trading has never really been about who can make the most accurate predictions. It’s about who can consistently follow an effective set of rules over the long term.
