Solv Protocol, which raised $25 million, is stuck with 50 bitcoins. User @neillee99 says that roughly 50 BTC are stuck on the platform for more than two months and cannot be withdrawn; related posts were exposed to nearly 500,000 people.

Solv responded that the core reason was triggering the platform’s risk controls. It said the assets involved are intact and safe—no transfers or destruction occurred— and that it is reviewing the matter according to procedure, adding that it would not make a determination based solely on social media claims.

Behind the controversy is the overall lull in the BTCFi sector. On the other hand of high annualized returns is this: when you redeem, you may not necessarily get your money back. The more tempting the yield, the more you need to first understand who actually has control of the funds under the protocol.
