How I profited from the BTC drop this week
While most people were disappointed by the correction — I closed the week in profit. Here’s how it happened.
What I saw:
On Monday, BTC fell to $83,000 after Trump rejected the Iranian ceasefire. Oil is above $105. The market is nervous. I also noticed over the weekend that geopolitics is escalating, so I decided to act.
What I did:
I opened a short on BTC perp via TradFi on Binance. A small position within a budget of up to $500. Leverage 3x — conservative, but enough.
Result:
BTC dropped from $84,500 to $82,600 — down 2.2%. Taking leverage into account, the position closed in profit. I got out during the recovery — I wasn’t greedy.
What helped:
I entered the position on Sunday evening via TradFi 24/7. When the markets opened on Monday, I was already in the trade with a good entry price.
What’s important:
Shorting is risk. If BTC had gone up, the position would have been in the red. Always set a stop-loss. Never risk more than I’m willing to lose.
⚠️ This is my personal experience, not financial advice.
💬 Conclusion: When the market is falling — it’s not always bad. TradFi provides tools to earn in both directions.
