The BTC outlook I just shared has already smoothly taken this wave of gains. Under the appearance of accumulation, traps are often hidden. $PORTAL has a bit of that flavor right now. Price is being suppressed below the 1-hour EMA50 and EMA200; the moving averages are all sloping downward, and sell-side strength is clearly stronger. With this structure, I tend to wait for opportunities to move in line with the bearish direction. Let's look at the 4-hour and 1-hour RSI: both are in relatively weak zones, and there hasn't been any solid rebound support in the short term. Over on BTC as well, it’s not doing great either. With this correlation, any rebound is likely to be pushed back.
The only thing to watch is that the daily chart still shows a bullish alignment, so this is a trade against the larger trend—don’t go heavy. If key levels can’t be held, that’s when the real opportunity appears.
