An interesting point that confuses many people: why bStock price moves on weekends, but the margin deposit amount in your account doesn’t. ⚙️

Spot trading never stops—demand and supply on Binance determine the price even on Saturday, when traditional exchanges have already been closed for several days. But the value used as margin collateral is taken from a separate index: it’s fixed at the last Friday price and remains unchanged until the market opens on Monday. 🕰️

So, two real numbers exist in parallel: one lives and changes every minute, the other is frozen over the weekend. Knowing this difference helps you view the chart movement more calmly, since it temporarily has no effect on the collateral amount. 🔍

In practice, this means: a sharp price move on Saturday evening doesn’t immediately add to or subtract from your available credit limit—the index will catch up with reality only when the market opens on Monday, no matter how the price moved in the meantime.

Have you noticed this difference between market price and the collateral valuation, or did you learn about it only now?
