#Tokenization of U.S. Stocks
The New York Stock Exchange’s parent company has signed a memorandum of understanding with Blockchain.com, which is not an onboarding announcement.

NYSE Group and Blockchain.com have signed a memorandum of understanding, intending to allow the latter’s users to directly trade tokenized securities of U.S.-listed stocks and ETFs. This collaboration is expected to be carried out subject to obtaining the relevant regulatory approvals, and plans to be implemented through the Digital ATS previously disclosed by the NYSE.

For on-chain platforms, the real variable isn’t merely an additional asset class, but rather that once the stock settlement cycle is extended into a full 24/7 schedule, the logic behind market making and collateral management will change accordingly. There is a period of approvals between the memorandum stage and the actual listing, the timeline remains unclear, and it’s too early to discuss routing flows at this point.
