Aave V4 has attracted about $1.2 billion in deposits and has been deployed on Ethereum, Avalanche, and Arc, according to Aave founder Stani. He said this version also supports third-party management entities such as EtherFi.

Stani said that Spokes can use liquidity directly from the Hub, rather than having to build liquidity sources themselves like vaults managed under the traditional model. According to him, V4’s codebase is also significantly smaller than Aave V3.

In V4, Hub and Spoke are default separated by risk profiles. Markets with similar risk levels can share liquidity through the Hub within the limits that are set, thereby improving capital efficiency. Stani believes that completely isolating liquidity could fragment capital, reduce utilization, and increase costs for users.
