A market with 229 active offers is not dry. And yet, that same market shows a spread of 2.66% between the USDT buy and sell prices. High liquidity and a high spread do not contradict each other: they describe different things. PitbullChain’s P2P traffic light captured this combination on September 22, 2026 at 6:00 p.m. (Caracas time) and classified it as yellow, «Moderate caution,» with 69 points out of 100.

This analysis cross-references three measurable sources from the exact same moment in the market: the rates published by Radar P2P, the aggregated order book, and the bank comparator. The practical takeaway is not a price, it’s a difference: what’s shown on the screen is not what ultimately gets executed.

📊 Three price layers, three different readings

The numbers from the same instant, without rounding too much:

• Radar P2P: buy 967,72 Bs and sell 942,65 Bs per USDT. Spread of 25,07 Bs, equivalent to 2,66%.

• Aggregated order book: best ask 963,37 Bs, best bid 963,20 Bs. Spread of 0,17 Bs, i.e. 0,02%, with a mid price of 963,29 Bs and 209 total announcements between both tips.

• Bank comparator: Banco de Venezuela 0,37% with 18 announcements, Banesco 0,41% with 24 announcements, Pago Móvil 0,58% with 32 announcements, Provincial 0,35% with 7 and “Other method” 0,70% with 27.

Read in a row, they seem contradictory. They’re not: they measure different things. The bank comparator calculates the average difference between what advertisers ask and what they offer within the same bank. The order book measures the distance between the best buy order and the best sell order in that second. And Radar P2P publishes an aggregated market reference, not an executable order.

📈 Why the displayed price is not the one that gets executed

There’s a verifiable gap between the reference and the book. Radar’s buy rate (967,72 Bs) is 4,35 Bs above the order book’s best ask (963,37 Bs), close to 0,45%. Radar’s sell rate (942,65 Bs) is 20,55 Bs below the best bid (963,20 Bs), around 2,13%.

This second gap is the most telling. In the book, no such low sell level appears at that instant: the lowest listed buy tip is 963,20 Bs. The sell reference likely captures announcements with filtered payment methods, limits outside the expected range, or outdated prices that survive in the aggregate but not in the real depth.

The operational lesson: a published rate is a headline; the level you can actually take is the book level. Between the two there are commissions, minimum and maximum limits per announcement, bank restrictions, and crediting time.

🔎 The traffic light: liquidity in green, spread in red

The sub-scores explain the yellow better than the overall 69 figure:

• Liquidity: 95/100 and banking availability 95/100. There are 229 active offers, 100 on the buy side and 129 on the sell side, spread across at least eight payment methods.

• Spread: 20/100. It’s the weakest component and matches the “warning” severity signal: elevated spread—compare before trading.

• Depth: 45/100, volatility 80/100 (the higher the score, the more stable the conditions) and external signals 60/100.

• Data freshness: 100/100. The capture is from the same minute, not from hours ago.

In the order book, pressure is on the buyer side: 499.343,10 USDT at the buy tip versus 172.770,01 USDT at the sell tip, a 48,59% imbalance. Translated: there is almost three times more declared volume wanting to buy USDT than wanting to sell it, over a combined depth close to 672.113 USDT. The details matter: 33 offers on the buy side and 32 on the sell side. The imbalance is in size, not in the number of participants.

💰 The premium vs. BCV and the context of dollarization

With the BCV at 852,42 Bs per US dollar, the USDT purchase reference in P2P (967,72 Bs) implies a premium of 13,53%. The parallel dollar, measured in Binance P2P, was at 962,69 Bs, 12,94% above the official rate. The difference between the two is just 5,03 Bs, around 0,52%.
