The recent performance of the AI sector could be described as a divine showdown. Seeing NVIDIA saying that chip sales next year may double, and major AI companies repeatedly setting new records in revenue forecasts—while compute investment behind the scenes is equally astonishing—many people are left wondering: has AI demand really taken off? Is this rally a strong reversal, or just a short-term rebound?

📈 1. Compute power surges—how much longer can demand keep up?

NVIDIA’s data has proven that AI is not just a buzzword—it's a real industrial revolution. The leading companies are aggressively spending to buy compute power, which indicates that downstream demand remains extremely strong. But I believe that although this rally is driven by strong earnings-led momentum, short-term sentiment is already stretched to its limit. The key point that will determine how the market diverges in the future is this: whoever can truly convert compute power into real business applications (for example, AI application deployment) will have the last laugh.

🏛️ 2. Tech leaders call for slowing down vs. Trump forming an AI army—who do you stand with?

This actually reflects the “safety vs. efficiency” debate in AI development. Big names from companies like Anthropic and OpenAI are calling for a slowdown due to concerns about AI getting out of control; while Trump’s plan to form an AI army—and his claim that AI could account for 25% of the U.S. GDP in the future—elevates AI to the level of national strategy and great-power rivalry.

I lean more toward the latter’s real-world impact. In the context of great-power competition, AI development can’t truly be slowed down. Government involvement isn’t just a long-term huge positive—it also means injecting national-level compute power and funding, which strongly supports the long-term fundamentals of AI stocks.

💡 3. As ordinary investors, how should we position ourselves in AI?

Although I don’t directly hold U.S.-listed AI stocks, I think investing in AI doesn’t necessarily mean buying Nvidia. For crypto players, we can capture this wave of opportunities through the AI track in the crypto space—for example, decentralized compute (DePIN) and AI Agents (artificial intelligence agents). These sectors complement and map well to the major AI giants in the U.S. stock market.

Everyone, what do you think—given today’s high compute costs, will the next breakthrough come from foundational compute, or from an explosion at the AI application layer? Share your thoughts in the comments!👇
