Apple and Google hire crypto-savvy personnel

Two tech giants are adding staff to stablecoin, tokenization of assets, and on-chain payments.

Apple hires a strategic leader for Apple Pay, responsible for finding products, markets, and new partners. The company prioritizes candidates who understand stablecoins, tokenized deposits, and blockchain.

• Google Cloud:
- Hiring a Web3 chief architect, working with exchanges, custodians, and banks to deploy stablecoins and RWAs in Asia.
- Previously, they also partnered with CME Group to trial tokenization and payments on the Universal Ledger platform.

This is only a staffing preparation move; there is no information yet that Apple or Google will launch their own blockchain/stablecoin.
