AI stocks just hit another gear.
Nvidia closed at $227.38 after a 2.3% jump, while AMD surged nearly 10% to a fresh record high as the Nasdaq climbed 2.3% to a record.
But the bigger story is the money still pouring into AI infrastructure.
Nvidia’s latest quarter delivered $96.2B revenue, up 106% YoY, with Data Center revenue exploding 117% to $89B.
Meanwhile, Amazon, Microsoft, Alphabet and Meta are guiding toward roughly $745B of combined 2026 capex. Alphabet alone now expects $195B–$205B, Microsoft roughly $190B and Amazon $220B.
Google just committed another $15.1B to AI infrastructure in Finland, including three data centers and a 22-year nuclear-power agreement.
Oracle is showing where that spending is going: cloud infrastructure revenue recently surged 121% to $7.4B.
The next phase may not simply be “AI stocks go higher.”
Watch the chain: GPUs → networking → data centers → cooling → electricity.
The AI race is becoming a physical-infrastructure race, and the companies capturing the spending could matter just as much as the companies building the models.

The key question now: can AI revenue grow fast enough to justify this historic spending wave?
