Caracas, August 26, 2026. The Venezuelan P2P market opens with mixed signals: USDT is being quoted on Binance P2P with a wide spread and a premium of 23.28% versus the official dollar. According to the data captured at 14:30 UTC by Radar P2P, the buy price (who sells USDT) is 970.86 Bs/USDT, while the sell price (who buys USDT) is 913.48 Bs/USDT. This results in a spread of 57.38 Bs, equivalent to 6.28%.

This behavior occurs in a context where Binance has reinforced its presence in the country, with million-dollar donations and adjustments for P2P traders. How should we interpret the current data? We break it down.

📊 Premium vs BCV and parallel dollar: is USDT expensive?

The Central Bank of Venezuela (BCV) closed the week with an official exchange rate of 787.52 Bs/USD. When comparing the average USDT purchase price on Binance P2P (970.86 Bs/USDT), there is a premium of 23.28% over the official value. In other words, for each USDT you pay about 183 additional bolĂvares in the P2P market.

At the same time, the parallel dollar (calculated from announcements in Binance P2P) is at 952.53 Bs/USD, very close to the USDT purchase price. This suggests that the P2P market is serving as a reference for the unofficial exchange rate—something that analysts like Ecoanalítica have already noted, estimating that Venezuela trades $44 million per day in USDT via Binance P2P.

Interpretation: the 23% premium is not alarming by itself; it reflects demand for hedging cryptoassets and the liquidity available in bolĂvares. What matters is the dispersion between buy and sell prices, which affects those who trade with small amounts or at banks with limited offers.

📈 Order book: liquidity present, but uneven across banks

When analyzing the order book on major exchanges (Binance, other platforms), the total volume of sell-side offers is 214,052 USDT and buy-side offers is 856,509 USDT. That is, there is more intent to buy USDT than to sell it, which in theory puts upward pressure on the price.

However, liquidity is concentrated in a few hands. For example, on Binance, the best sell offer is at 949.30 Bs/USDT with more than 67,000 USDT available, but a single operator controls most of it. This creates a market asymmetry: someone who needs to sell USDT quickly may find a price, but not necessarily the best one.

As for banks, the most mentioned in the listings are Banesco, Mercantil, Banco de Venezuela, and Provincial. However, Radar P2P’s bank comparator shows that liquidity is low in several of them (bank availability score of 10/100), which can cause delays or transfer rejections.

🔎 Radar P2P traffic light: moderate caution

The Radar P2P traffic light shows a yellow status (score 56/100). This means the market shows mixed conditions and the user should verify before trading. The factors influencing it are:

• High spread (20/100): the difference between buying and selling USDT is 6.28%, above the historical average of 2–3%.

• Moderate premium (75/100): the premium versus BCV is high, but not extreme.

• Overall liquidity (80/100): there are enough offers for medium amounts, although depth (30/100) is limited in certain ranges.

• Bank availability (10/100): few banks have active offers and low maximum amounts.

In this scenario, Radar P2P’s recommendation is clear: “Compare prices between exchanges, verify the bank, reputation, and limits, and use the calculator before trading.” It’s not about predicting whether the price will go up or down, but about reducing friction in a trade that already has a high spread.

💰 Differences between exchanges: opportunity or risk

Another relevant data point is the price difference between platforms. According to the opportunity radar, Binance offers USDT at 949.38 Bs (weighted average price), while other platforms do so at 1005.36 Bs. This 5.90% difference can be seen as a P2P trading signal, but it also indicates market fragmentation.
