$BTC Evening Outlook: September 22.
The BTC is moving around inside the triangle, consolidating and fluctuating. The consolidation range has already formed: 87007-85222. This is BTC’s current consolidation range. While BTC is trading within this consolidation zone, what should you do? You should stand by. Why should you stand by when it’s trading in the range? Because BTC is choosing a direction—you don’t know whether it will go upward or whether it will pull back downward. Better to wait until it breaks out of the trading range before you follow.
If you want to go long, there are two plans. First: since the consolidation range is 87007-85222, wait for BTC to break above the trading range, then retest the upper boundary of the trading zone at 87007. If it doesn’t fall back under 87007 and continues holding, then you can go long.
Second method: have you seen the 85222 level pointed to by the white arrow below? 85222 has been tested multiple times and hasn’t broken down. This means the support at 85222 is valid. You can wait for BTC to pull back to 85222 again and then go long. But the second method is a bit more aggressive. Yes, going long at support 85222 is fine, but my subjective view is that even though 85222 won’t break doesn’t mean the market definitely won’t break it. So when BTC is at a high level, no matter which long method you use, try to use only half position. Because when BTC is at a high level, even a 1% move can be hundreds or even a couple of thousand points.
The most important thing in trading is patience. If the enemy doesn’t move, I don’t move. Without patience, you can’t do good trading. As long as BTC doesn’t break 85222, it won’t pull back down to the 83770 level.
Look at the MACD line indicated by the red arrow below at the current timeframe—there’s a slight bearish divergence, which is a risk point to pay attention to.
BTC: A volume-backed breakout above 85938—chasing long is for the more aggressive crowd. A volume-backed breakdown below 85049; the retracement can’t recover—then chase short on the right side, and set your stop-loss.
On the 1-hour timeframe: if it breaks and holds above 85938, look for 87007-88793. If it can’t get above 85938, it’s useless.
On the 4-hour timeframe: if it breaks below 85049, look for 83727-82800.
