According to official information, compared with the previous generation, Hy Image3.5preview has improved capabilities by about 30%. For handwriting/text rendering, the model restores text content more accurately and no longer causes the awkward issue of missing parts; its layout ability has also been significantly enhanced, allowing it to better understand users’ requirements for on-screen composition. For photo retouching, the model supports input of up to five reference images at the same time. Users can adjust by blending the styles or elements from multiple images, with a maximum output resolution of 2K.

In terms of pricing, Hy Image3.5preview offers a highly competitive rate: when called via the Tencent Cloud API, generating a 2K image costs only 0.15 yuan, and charges are based only on the final output—discarded images are not billed. In internal blind tests, the model tied with Seedream 5.0 pro, and performed better than two other comparable competing products.

In terms of use cases, Hy Image3.5preview covers a wide range of everyday needs such as photo retouching, poster design, and storyboard drawing. The model has already been deployed in Tencent products such as Yuanchuo and IMA, and developers can also call it directly through the Tencent Cloud API.

It is worth noting that during the gray-scale testing period, demand for user-generated images increased by more than 50%. Feedback from a film and television studio indicated that using Hunyuan Image 3.5 for bulk image generation significantly shortened the time needed for early-stage preparation, and overall efficiency improved markedly.
